2022 Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival
The 2022 Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival will take place in a multi-mode format 17-26 March 2022.
From Thursday 21 October – Sunday 14 November we are inviting community members to submit their project ideas for a chance to be included in the program.
What are we looking for?
We are scheduling two events involving community:
1. A panel discussion for two or three authors or emerging writers to showcase their published work.
Open to individuals who:
• Live, work or study in Brimbank, or are connected to the area
• Are aged 15 years or over
• Have had a piece of writing published
Panellists will discuss the process of writing and their experience for approximately 20- 30 minutes each.
2. An open event, for individuals and community groups, which could include: a workshop, a spoken word performance, a public reading, a book launch or an exhibition.
Open to individuals or community groups (unincorporated associations) who:
• Live, work or study in Brimbank, or are connected to the area
• Have a specific event relating to writing, reading or storytelling
• Will lead the planning and delivery of the event.

Deadline for submissions is by 11.59pm Sunday 14 November 2021
Successful entrants will be notified by the end of November 2021.
*Sessions will be facilitated in line with Government directives related to COVID-19.
