Youth Participation and Engagement is one of the guiding principles of the work of Brimbank Youth Services. We know that all young people should have the opportunity to address the issues that are important to them and have an input into decision-making so that our community is a safe, friendly and welcoming place for all.

In April 2018, the Brimbank Young Citizen’s Jury was held. This group of 15 young people worked together to design a new model to create opportunities for Brimbank Council and young people can work together. This model, the Youth Participation and Engagement Model, has many different opportunities for young people to create positive changes in their community and have a voice in how decisions are made. The Youth Participation and Engagement Model can be found here.
