Victorian Government: YOUTH CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) CONTENT FUNDING OPPORTUNITY

 In News

Calling young content creators/creatives!
Applications are now open for funding to create content that speaks to young people and their communities and supports COVIDSafe behaviour.

Funding between $2,000 and $20,000 is available per proposal. Applications are sought from culturally and linguistically diverse young people and the organisations that work with them.
Any format of content is eligible, including videos, interviews, photography, street art, spoken word performance, music, web series, podcasts, creative writing, visual arts – as long as it adheres to COVIDSafe Principles at the time of production.

Content needs to be digitally shareable and give the audience a deeper understanding of the safe behaviours we must all adopt to protect everything we have achieved in slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). It should also promote ways for communities to stay connected with each other in a safe and positive way.

This project is about promoting COVIDSafe behaviours while amplifying the voices of young people across our diverse communities and providing paid work opportunities. Applications will be assessed by an independent Youth Taskforce, and successful creators/creatives will have access to mentorship from creative industry professionals and free workshops to help plan how to distribute their work, and get it seen. Free information sessions are being held online. Learn how to apply successfully for funding, as an individual young person or an organisation.

Register to attend HERE a free virtual information session on Jan 14, 2021 12:30 PM or contact Multicultural.COVID.Taskforce@dpc.vic.gov.au for more information on eligibility and how to successfully apply.

Applications are open from Monday 14 December until Monday 1 February.
