Tuning in to Teens is a free, seven-week parenting program designed for parents and carers of young people who live, work, study or have a connection to Brimbank. The program is especially suited for parents who want to improve connection and better manage everyday challenges with their teenagers.
Across the seven online sessions, parents learn about:

How is the program delivered?
The program runs over seven weekly sessions, held online via Microsoft Teams.
Each session is two hours long and led by trained facilitators in a supportive, small-group environment.
Do I need to attend all seven sessions?
Yes. Each session builds on the previous one, so attending all sessions will help you get the most out of the program.
Do I need to have my camera on during the sessions?
Yes. This is an interactive group program, not a webinar. Having cameras on helps create a safe and engaging learning space where everyone can participate, connect, and support each other.
Is there a cost to join?
No. The program is completely free for parents and carers who live, work, or study in the Brimbank area.
Will I have to talk about personal issues?
You’re welcome to share your experiences, but there’s no pressure to talk about anything you’re not comfortable with. The sessions are respectful and focused on learning practical skills.
Is this program suitable for all families?
Tuning in to Teens may not be suitable for families currently experiencing family violence, significant mental health issues, or child protection involvement.
