CRAFTIVISM WORKSHOPS: Find your radical voice!

 In Brimbank Events

Craft has always been a key part of the activist’s toolkit – now more than ever. Through craft, we have the power to create something entirely new with our own hands. To start a conversation and tackle social, political and environmental issues.

Over the course of 5 weeks, this program will explore forms of craft that have always been connected with activist movements: posters, banners, badges, storytelling and zines. We will create loud and proud craftworks that speak up about issues (big and small) that are impacting young people in our community.

At the end of the workshop series, we will launch an exhibition of our work at St Albans Community Centre, designed and curated by the young workshop participants.

Date & Time: Thursday arvos in June (2nd June – 30th June), 4-6pm
Location: St Albans Community Centre, Programs Room (Level 1)
Age range: 12-15 years

There are only 15 spots – so book now!
