We’re designing a new program to support parents and caregivers have more supportive conversations with their teenagers about careers, study and future pathways. We want your perspectives as young people from Brimbank to help shape the program design.
Apply to join us for a co-design workshop to share your experiences and be remunerated with a $50 voucher for your time.
We want to hear from young people aged 14-25 who live, work, study or socialise in Brimbank. It doesn’t matter if you’re currently at school or left several years ago – we’re keen to hear a variety of experiences and reflections.
Workshop details:
– Date: Wednesday 3 December 2025
– Time: 5:00pm – 6:30pm
– Location: Visy Cares Hub – 80b Harvester Rd, Sunshine
– $50 voucher provided to remunerate you for your time (provided after attending)
What you’ll discuss at the workshop:
– What helps career and pathways conversations with parents/caregivers go well
– What makes these conversations stressful, frustrating or unhelpful
– What you wish parents/caregivers understood
– How parents could be better supported to help their teenagers
– What might encourage parents to join a program like this
