Footscray Art Prize

 In News

The Footscray Art Prize is a biennial visual art prize for contemporary artworks across multiple platforms and disciplines.

The Footscray Art Prize for Young Artists is open to all primary and secondary students who reside in or attend school in the following Local Government Areas (LGAs): Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay, Wyndham, Brimbank, Moonee Valley, Melton and Hume.

Established in 2016, it contributes to Footscray’s reputation as a thriving cultural hub that supports and fosters the arts, and provides an opportunity to celebrate this artistic vibrancy and creativity.

It is open for entries nationally and does not have a theme.

To recognise the impact of COVID-19 on visual artists, Footscray Art Prize is doubling the prize money so there’s $20,000 up for grabs this year!

Entries close 20 March 2023!
