The Footscray Art Prize is a biennial visual art prize for contemporary artworks across multiple platforms and disciplines.
Established in 2016, it contributes to Footscray’s reputation as a thriving cultural hub that supports and fosters the arts, and provides an opportunity to celebrate this artistic vibrancy and creativity.
It is open for entries nationally and does not have a theme.
To recognise the impact of COVID-19 on visual artists, Footscray Art Prize is doubling the prize money so there’s $20,000 up for grabs this year!
Footscray Art Prize (Young Artists) is:
- free to enter
- open to young people in Melbourne’s west
- displayed in an exhibition at Footscray Community Arts in July/August 2023 offering great prizes!
