WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR EDITORS FOR ISSUE 6! APPLY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE ⬇

Welcome to The Bold Source magazine; a ‘Brimbankian’ magazine – made by young people for young people!

The Bold Source is a youth magazine led by an editorial team of young people between the ages of 15 and 25. The annual magazine acts as a platform to share young people’s stories.

The Bold Source is a space to showcase the diverse and layered experiences of young people in Melbourne’s West. Stories are how we make meaning in the world, and we want to creatively share stories to inspire, educate and uplift.

We meet once a week from 4.30- 6.30pm in Sunshine.

Why should I join the Bold Source?

By becoming an editor of the Bold Source, you’ll get to…

  • Attend no-cost training workshops with both Council staff and external artists/writers
  • Meet other like-minded young people from the community
  • Learn the ins and outs of producing a magazine and event planning
  • Gain experience to put on your resume
  • Tap into your creativity and refine your own writing or art
  • Receive an honorarium at the end of the program
