Spoken Word Poetry Workshop & Open Mic Night

Spoken word can be profound, empowering, inspired, insightful and enlightening.  So each ready to speak artist must be empowered to be heard, safely, allowing presentation of culture, aspirations and different experiences, to enrich each of those who taken even just a moment to listen.

Join Matcho Makata, founder of Soul Lounge Melbourne, Spoken Word Poetry & Prose for People of Colour (POC) and allies for a night of spoken word.

Come along to hear culture, aspirational poetry and different experiences expressed in the spoken word.  Take a moment to listen. Be in the moment to be heard.

Session includes a mini-workshop: 4.30-5.15pm & open mic performances: 5.45-7.45pm.
