Trans Awareness Week 2022
🌈 It’s Transgender Awareness Week! The weeks help raise the visibility of transgender people and address issues members of the community face.
Transgender Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around the issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.
As Transgender Awareness Week comes to an end, the 20th of November, is Transgender Remembrances Day.
Transgender Day Of Remembrance
This day is a day to remember those people who identify as being Transgender or Gender Diverse who have passed and is a day to reflect upon the history and difficulties that the Transgender and Gender Diverse community has faced.
This day can be really difficult for some people, therefore here are some specific LGBTQIA+ mental health services that are available on the day:
