Youth Voice

  • BRIMBANK YOUTH FEST IS FINALLY HERE! For a whole month of September, join us for a range of activities for young people. You can find the full program HERE.

Events and opportunities

  • Department of Social Services and Deloitte who are facilitating consultation sessions across Australia on the National Carers Strategy. Any current or former unpaid carers in Australia, comprising family members, friends, or community members, who provide essential care without financial compensation to individuals are eligible to participate. A online session is available on Wednesday 4 September an in-person session on Thursday 5 September. You can find more information here.
  • Talking The Talk is delivering a free webinar titled “What every parent needs to know about AI Deep Fakes” on Tuesday 10 September at 7:30PM. Register here.
  • Brimbank Council is seeking community feedback on their Community Vision and Council Plan 2025-2029. Complete the survey to share your ideas by 16 September. Survey

Programs

  • Brimbank is running an Indoor Women & Girls Soccer Program during Term 3. Great way to stay fit, learn soccer skills and have fun indoors. Women and girls 14 years and older can join a team. Sessions run every Wednesday, 3:30pm-5pm at the West Sunshine Community Centre. Register here.
  • Brimbank Libraries are running study support programs for students. Find relevant support here.
