Youth Voice
- BRIMBANK YOUTH FEST IS FINALLY HERE! For a whole month of September, join us for a range of activities for young people. You can find the full program HERE.
- YACVic is launching its Youth Engagement Resource Platform (YERP) and are inviting young people aged 12-25 to attend its very special (and free!) launch event on Tuesday 24 September. The event is a youth-led Young Leaders Panel where they yap about YERP, eat some good snacks, meet like-minded people and hear from some amazing leaders. More info and register here.
Events and opportunities
- Talking The Talk is delivering a free webinar titled “What every parent needs to know about AI Deep Fakes” on Tuesday 10 September at 7:30PM. Register here.
- Brimbank Council is seeking community feedback on their Community Vision and Council Plan 2025-2029. Complete the survey to share your ideas by 16 September. Survey
- Distinctive Options are hosting another Autism Family Swim and Fun Night at Sunshine Leisure Centre on Saturday 21 September. $10 for entry and BBQ. Come along for some fun in safe and supported environment. See flyer for more info.
Programs
- Brimbank is running an Indoor Women & Girls Soccer Program during Term 3. Great way to stay fit, learn soccer skills and have fun indoors. Women and girls 14 years and older can join a team. Sessions run every Wednesday, 3:30pm-5pm at the West Sunshine Community Centre. Register here.
- Brimbank Libraries are running study support programs for students. Find relevant support here.
