Youth Voice Opportunities

  • The current Australian UN Youth Representative Satara is looking to connect with young people aged 12-25 with lived experience of the justice system as part of her listening tour to inform her report made directly to the UN later this year. She will be in Victoria from 21-27 July 2025 and so could come and speak directly to your group or could meet online at another time. Contact Satara at youthrep@unyouth.org.au to connect on this.
  • Intertwine is running the FUSE program, a youth leadership and wellbeing program for diverse young people with intersecting experiences of marginalisation, aged 15-22, designed to ignite positive change and foster resilience. This FREE 5 month program aims to build agency, increase social inclusion, develop practical skills and support mental health. Held weekly starting 28 April – September 4-6pm at the Phoenix Youth Hub in Footscray. Register here.
  • University of Melbourne and ALIVE Network are inviting young people aged 18-25 with experience of loneliness to participate in creative co-design workshops. A-Part of the Crowd is a national research project working alongside young people to reimagine how we support youth loneliness to shape better mental health support for young people. Participants will be reimbursed for their time. Register here.
    • You can alternatively submit your story for this project and be reimbursed. More info here.
    • YLab and the eSafety Commissioner are establishing the Tech-based Abuse Youth Advisory Group to ensure that young people’s voices shape national online safety initiatives to address tech-based abuse.
