Tell us more about yourself!
I am a first year university student who loves advocating for change among the youth in my community.
Why did you join the BYC?
I hope to continue my leadership journey being a part of Brimbank youth council. I am extremely motivated about representing the youth in the Brimbank as it is an area where I study and work in. Having the opportunity to have a voice about the future Brimbank is really important to me and I will be extremely committed to the role.
What are you passionate about?
Everyone’s lives have been altered due to the COVID pandemic. I would love to come up with an action plan in response to the topic of reduced their mental wellbeing and disconnect to others because of the 2020 -2021 lockdown period. I want the young people of Brimbank to feel connected to community again and as a youth council we could possibly make this happen.
What are you hoping to achieve as a BYC member this year?
I hope to work together in the team towards a project that will positively benefit and change the lives of the youth of Brimbank.
What does a better Brimbank look like to you?
An environmentally sustainable, multicultural and safe Brimbank.
What’s one piece of advice you have for young people who want to create change in their community?
It’s never too late to start creating change! Get involved with your school’s council or your local council. That’s how I started my leadership journey 🙂
