Tell us three things about yourself!
I am aspiring to be a Youth Worker in the mental health sector. I am a little bit of a crazy cat lady. I enjoy making others happy.
Why did you decide to join the Youth Council?
I’d hope to try to make a difference within the community and help strive for great changes.
What issue are you most passionate about and/or interested in tackling and why?
Mental Health and more recognition around the schools to help with youths mental health earlier/educate them on how to cope or help a friend.
Why is it important for young people to be heard/part of the decision-making process?
It is important so constructive change can happen as youth voices aren’t listened to enough when it us who have to live with the consequences.
What’s one piece of advice you have for young people who want to create change in their community?
Don’t be scared to make your voice heard.
