Meet MAIMA – 10 Young People Of Brimbank!

 In News

Victorian Youth Week is a ten-day celebration of young people aged 12 to 25 years old that takes place each year in April.

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, we unfortunately had to cancel many events. Although that doesn’t mean the celebration is over!

In Brimbank, we’re celebrating YOUTH WEEK by highlighting the uniqueness, talents and creativity of 10 young individuals in our community including MAIMA!

Three things about you
My name is Maima, Ive lived in Brimbank since I’ve moved to Australia in 2006. People know me as a fashion designer, a dancer and who loves taking photos.
In high school, I actually was working along side Brimbank Youth Services, helping my community by organising events for younger people.

Where is your favourite place or activity in Brimbank?
My favourite place in Brimbank is the new build library in sunshine, i remember in high school 2015, it was very tiny and not much space for people to study or go hand out with school mate, but now there are options in the new buildings, where you can come relax and read, do your assignments in private rooms with no disturbance.

What do you hope for the future of Brimbank? OR What is one thing you would like to improve about our community?
What is hope for in Brimbank are parks where there are lakes to go have relax evening or even morning workouts.

What’s one achievement or accomplishment that you are proud of?
I would say my best accomplishment is graduating in my Bachelor of Fashion Design.

Thanks MAIMA, the @brimbankyouthservices team wishes you the very best for all the future ventures, that life has in store for you!
